Or if you drive, easy parking in our long driveway or on the street (unmetered parking! no restrictions!). Great rental for those wanting to be near the University of California, Berkeley or a a wonderful centrally located vacation home. Also perfect if you are visiting relatives that live in the area. We live in the house when it’s not rented so you will have everything you need. We'll answer all your questions AND we have a nearby property manager that lives and works in Berkeley, so she can help with everything. This is a great neighborhood that's got a high WALKABILITY score and close to everything but on a quiet street. The house is all on one level but there are 8 wide steps to get into the house (and a hand railing). 3 bedrooms (queen bed, double bed, twin bed). 2 full bathrooms. If you work from home, two of the bedrooms have desks, or work from the dining room table with sun all day long. Hardwood floors. Modern kitchen with sunny deck right off the kitchen that is perfect for meals or relaxing. Quiet street (our block ends a few houses down so not a lot of through traffic). Highest "walkability" score! Sunny deck overlooking level fenced in yard, perfect for eating meals or hanging out. Long driveway and tons of unmetered street parking (rare in Berkeley!). Bike path next to house, bus at the end of the block, BART up the street. Lots of UNCLUTTERED SPACE to spread out your belongings. 6 minute walk to North Berkeley BART (or drive in a few minutes). One stop to UC Berkeley. Direct train to SF (20 min. ride). Bus to University of California (UC Berkeley) at the end of our block or walk to the university in 25 minutes. Next to bike routes, Greenway walking/bike path. There is a park at the end of our block and larger park a few blocks away with two playgrounds. Walk to produce market, local natural food store (or Whole Foods), bagel store, cafes, bakeries, bread bakery, beer garden, shops, restaurants, bars, yoga studios and outdoor donation based yoga (we have yoga mats for you t use), grocery stores, all kinds of fun shopping. Easy direct BART train to San Francisco (20 minutes) and Oakland (10 minutes). In summary, best location. Easy if you have a car (long driveway, lots of street parking) but we rarely use our car because everything is so close and the bike paths are all over or we walk. or the train (BART) is just up the street or buses one to three blocks to everywhere. San Francisco is 14 miles, UC Berkeley less than 2 miles. Great restaurants, shops, cafes, etc. ALL WALKABLE or a few minutes drive. We have been renting when we're gone for a long time and are committed to helping you have a wonderful stay in our home.
