Southern Village is a charming and vibrant community in Chapel Hill. We love living here. The neighborhood is one the most desirable places to live near UNC. We are two blocks from the central Market Street, which has a movie theater, restaurants, a coffee shop, a wine shop, and best of all, Weaver Street Market (a local co-op grocery store). Southern Village is pedestrian-friendly, with several trails and parks nearby. There are many community events in Southern Village, including outdoor movies and concerts (even the NC Symphony), and a farmers' market. The free NS bus lines pass through here (10min to hospital, 15min to campus). There is a daycare and elementary school in walking distance.
