Sunny brownstone on walking street in Ft. Greene: 2 floors, parlor + garden

Description

We live on two floors of a brownstone in Fort Greene, near the park. The apartment has two bedrooms—we use one as an office—and two baths, one with a clawfoot tub. The building was built around 1865, and the apartment has plaster walls with lots of architectural detail. There’s a small deck off the parlor floor above a larger garden, which is just starting to bloom in these photos. We like to cook and entertain, so we have lots of pans, dishes, and glasses. If you have questions about any specific items, let us know! The bedroom is super-quiet, the garden is peaceful, and the neighborhood was voted “one of the coolest in the world,” whatever that means, by Time Out. Our street is closed to through traffic and leads to Fort Greene Park (2.5 blocks away) where there is a farmer’s market every Saturday. Rhodora Wine Bar is on our corner. Let us know if you have specific questions about the neighborhood, too. We’ll be away from June to September, and we’d love to find one renter for the whole time. We’ve never used Sabbatical Homes before, so we don’t have a “Trust Score,” but we’re happy to talk with you about your plans and questions.
