Our beautiful home is situated within the thriving East Oxford community, yet is a calm sanctuary that backs onto wide open spaces. The vibrant Cowley Road is just a 5-minute walk away, with a range of supermarkets, restaurants, shops, pubs and bars, and even closer is the Iffley Road community of independent shops, cafes and a host of wonderful pubs. Public transport will take you into central Oxford within five minutes, or you can enjoy the fifteen minute walk down Iffley Road into Oxford, passing the historic Bannister Running Track and beautiful Magdalen College and School. The stops for the regular Oxford 'Tube' buses to central London (24-hr/7-day service), as well as buses to Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted airports are all situated within a 15 minute walk from the house. We can arrange for local parking permits for one car if required. The house itself is an airy Victorian home with 3 bedrooms and is set across 3 floors. As you enter through the front door, there is a hallway space for shoes and bags, and you then go through into a light-filled open-plan living room and music space with TV, piano and wooden floors. A super-comfy 3-person Loaf sofa, window seat and armchair offer plenty of space to relax. Passing a downstairs bathroom, you walk through to the kitchen to find a family-sized dining table surrounded by glass that looks out onto the wonderful garden. The kitchen has a Nespresso coffee machine, kettle, family fridge and freezer, oven, gas hob, washing machine and dishwasher, and plenty of space to cook. The back door opens out onto the South-facing garden, which is a lovely sun-trap in the Spring and Summer months. There is an outdoor seating area for 6 people, sheltered by a gorgeous grapevine-covered pergola. The garden path winds it way past rose bushes, clematis, aliums and a small pond, before reaching the lovely apple tree. The back gate leads out of the property down a short passage to the wide open field, children's park and nature reserve that leads down to the River Thames. The first floor of the house has 2 light, double bedrooms with King size beds, as well as a recently renovated bathroom with Italian stone flooring, bath, shower, toilet, heated mirror cabinet and heated towel rail. The second floor of the house has a large bedroom with two single beds and amazing views over the nature reserve behind the house. The house is set up with high speed internet and wifi boosters on the first floor to ensure coverage throughout the house.
