Looking for someone who is OK with moving into a furnished house with a bit of uncertainty about how long the arrangement will last. Will definitely give at least a month's notice and we can figure out upfront which months will be guaranteed. The good: Just did a fair bit of renovation, updating the wiring and the oven range (induction). Fenced-in backyard with a brick area great for summer barbecues. The front has some spots with good soil where I usually grow herbs, haven't planted much in the back but it should do pretty well since a layer of wood chips has been decomposing there for a few years. The bad: The office has some ugly stains on the carpet. The walls have some cracks in the paint (as in the wall shifted and the decades of paint layers cracked instead of moved). It says two bedrooms but one of the bedrooms (the one with the yellow walls) doesn't have a bed in it. The bathroom is really small. Certainly some of the interior paint decisions could be questioned. Maybe the art on the walls too. Maybe it's up your alley? My friend Austin will be around to handle any issues you have on the ground while I'm away

Comments: Friendly neighborhood close to both Duke campuses. Easy walk to a grocery store, coffee shop, and park. 1 mile to Duke Hospital, 1.5 miles to Brodie gym on east campus.
Comments: A one month security deposit ($2000) is required. I will perform a background check on all serious applicants before making an offer.
Comments: House is probably mostly fine for kids but it is not childproofed.
Just hold onto anything addressed to me.

Comments: I am moving to Germany for at least the next 3 months, more depending on how things go and how my visa situation develops. I can guarantee at least through July or August and then we'd go month to month from there.
