Family-friendly home in the Palisades

Description

We will be away on sabbatical next year, so we are renting out our family home. We will be away from end of August to the following summer, and ideally are looking renters starting Sep 1 and staying for 9-10 months. The house is situated in the Macarthur Mews, a charming little enclave in the Palisades neighborhood of Washington, DC. It is close to the center of the neighborhood, with shops, cafes (Black Coffee is a highlight), library, and playgrounds. The Palisades also has an excellent elementary school (Key Elementary), which is walking distance from the house. There are nature trails and the paths next to the Potomac, all very close by. The house is also conveniently located for Georgetown (where we are professors), American University, George Washington University, and multiple embassies. The bus stop for the D6 bus is steps away. There are two bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. The second bedroom is currently set up as a children's room, so the house would work well for a small family. It could also work for two roommates, as there is a couch that pulls out into a bed in the second room. There is an alcove off the living room for a study, and a small sunroom currently set up as a playroom. The house comes with two parking spots. There is also a patio, with a grill, dining area, lounge chairs, and a small garden.
