We are a friendly, quiet, tidy couple who work in academia and the arts looking for the opportunity to rest and write in a home away from home. We're interested in an urban setting with access to arts and culture or a village location in walking distance to the town square and a restaurant patio. Think Escape to the Continent or Under the Tuscan Sun without renovations - anywhere in the world. Our home is impeccably appointed and scrupulously clean. We live on the top floor of an accessible condo with high ceilings, bright south-facing windows, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a spacious patio. We’re cooks, so our kitchen accommodates the most industrious of chefs and vivacious guests. Our home is walking distance to downtown, the ocean, Beacon Hill Park, and grocery stores and libraries. The University of Victoria is a 20 minute drive or 30 minute bus ride. Victoria is a charming, cultured, mid-sized city with nearly perfect weather and Canada's outdoor lifestyle at our doorstep. Paddle boarding, kayaking, hiking, and mountain climbing are all easily accessible. Seattle, Vancouver, BC's Gulf Islands, and Washington's San Juan Islands are only a picturesque ferry ride away.
