Description
We are a writer and retired social worker/faculty planning to live overseas in 2025. We are hoping to rent our house to an academic family/couple in search of a family-friendly house in Takoma Park. We are very convenient to College Park by shuttle, bike or car and we are within walking distances of local elementary schools. Takoma Park is a fun, friendly, progressive, safe community just outside the DC line. House has high speed wifi, solar panels, central and room AC, and extensive kitchen supplies. Washer and dryer available. We are willing to offer a rent reduction if you would like to do some house-sitting, which includes collecting the mail and possibly taking care of our two cats who are very friendly and easy. We have a separate apartment in the basement which we will stay in once or twice if we need to return during the year. House is on a bus line which takes you to the metro. Plenty of on street parking and one off-street parking space. Neighbors are very friendly and the area is safe for walking and biking. More pictures forthcoming...

We have two senior and friendly cats that may need care while we are gone if we can't find someone else to take them. Reduced rent if you are interested in caring for our kitties.

We will ask renters to collect the mail and store it in a box for us while we are gone.

We have a yard and garden. If you are interested in helping out we can discuss a rent reduction for this.

Comments: Beautiful Takoma Park House convenient to multiple DC-Area Universities. College Park Shuttle stops one block from the house. Easy commute to UMD and AU. Nearby parks suitable for children, hiking and biking. Takoma Park is very family friendly.
