Classic Montreal walk up apartment in the vibrant Mile End/Plateau

*Vacation date proposals welcome too for a week or two week exchange* Our place is located on a classic tree-lined street in the fabulous Plateau/Mile End borough, with great coffee shops, bookstores, restaurants, record shops, parks- surrounded by the essential joie de vivre vibe. Easy access to downtown and the hip Mile Ex and Jean Talon market. The kitchen is fully stocked, the dining room table has 6 seats and includes a piano. We have a washer and dryer! Balconies in both the front and back with little tables and chairs. The floors are hardwood. Our place is a modest but the charm of it and being in the 5th top ranking neighbourhood in the world by Time Out in 2022 make it a gem we think! We love Montreal and happy to give tips always on the area. I am an associate professor of the theatre, going on my first sabbatical July 2024-June 2025. I am bringing my 16 year old daughter with me and my priority is looking for a place she can attend a final year of grade 12 high school in a similar school system to our Canadian one during the 2024-2025 school year. We are open to splitting time in two places, switching schools/etc and discussing options with an interested party- especially in home exchange (or a rental option). My daughter and I are considered "neat freaks" and like to keep our home tidy and well cared for- we will do the same for your home. We enjoy reading, walks, seeing theatre, dance, film and attending concerts and live art exhibitions. We are a pretty quiet duo. I am mainly going to be working on writing and doing some reading catch up on my sabbatical. We can send more photographs to our place as needed, including outside front of walk up where we store our bikes too (which can be part of exchange!). I am going to update my daughter's bedroom with a new bed, and we are planning on re-arranging the room this new year. Our pictures are from a rainy day in our place in Montreal December 2023. We will clean out our closets and wardrobes for use and also the storage closet in our living room which right now has baby clothes, a Christmas tree and such in it that can be easily moved out for the time we have exchange/rental.
