Thanks for having a look at our beautiful Westgarth converted warehouse hone. We’ve put a lot of love into it and hope we can find some lovely folks to enjoy it and the inner north lifestyle while in Melbourne. Location is a huge draw card here. It’s incredibly convenient to get into the city or over to University of Melbourne (where I work) or RMIT. The space is comfortable, stylish (we like to think) and fully equipped to make your stay as easy as possible. There are many public transit options right outside the door or you’re welcome to use the car spot in the garage if you have a vehicle. Westgarth village is just up the street with tons of bars, restaurants, cafes, a cinema, organic grocer, post office etc. Merri Creek is a few blocks away in three directions for easy nature access. A short tram will put you in the heart of Fitzroy and a bit further will take you straight into the CBD. There are multiple bike paths nearby if that’s your preferred way to get around and we have a great bike we can lend! The home itself is a converted warehouse unit spread over 2 main floors and two half floors. There are two bedrooms - the main bedroom is very, very large, light-filled and includes a lounge space and office space at the back. The office space has a large desk for working and we can provide a monitor, keyboard and mouse for your use if that’s helpful. The other bedroom is much smaller - it is super cozy, but please note it gets very little natural light. It is an amazing room to sleep in as it is so dark and quiet! The home has lots of stairs so not a fit for folks not keen on that! For families: we lived here for years with our toddler and it’s been a great family home as long as you’re comfortable with stairs. The location is in an incredibly family friendly area. We’re near many parks, playgrounds, nature walks (5 min walk to Merri Creek), schools and so incredibly convenient in terms of Westgarth Village and other neighbourhoods. Almost any amenity you can think of is walkable! We think it offers the best of urban Melbourne vibes with tons of super accesible green space.
