We love our house. It has a particularly beautiful living room, dining room, three-season room and kitchen on the ground floor, 4 bedrooms on the second floor, and a studio/office with a small extra bedroom on the third floor. It has a front porch, a porch right above the front porch, a screened porch to the side, and another recently renovated back porch. It is friendly, charming, elegant. It really has great vibes. It is located a beautiful 10 minute walk away from Smith College and an extra 5 minutes from the historical downtown district of Northampton with its many cafes, restaurants, and music venues. There are woods to stroll in; lots of mountainous areas to hike or ski in; ponds and little mountain lakes to swim in. Great for bike rides as well. Northampton as well as its neighboring little towns are vibrant centers for the arts, especially music, as we are on the concert circuit of musicians based in New York. Mass Moca and the Clark Institute are 1.5 hours away. We have a great program cinema and theater. It's a great location for your sabbatical.
