Hi! I’m a poet-scholar and sommelier by background, now a novelist, perfumer, and artist. I *love* my NYC apartment, but I need to be in LA for work this year so I’m looking for a respectful person to stay in my place while I am away. This is one of the best blocks in all of SoHo - between La Duree and the hotel 60 Thompson, across the street from a wine bar and the best Sicilian restaurant in New York. Steps from all the main train lines. This flat has some rare features for a downtown walk-up: dishwasher, walk-in closet, bath tub, eat-in kitchen. I also put lots of artist TLC into the furniture and decor, some of which I custom-built for the space with the help of architect and designer friends. There’s an Eames chair in the living room and a custom divan styled after Frank Lloyd Wright’s Falling Water. The red lacquer coffee table is styled after Isamu Noguchi’s iconic glass version. The last photo is an original artist proof of one of my neon light drawing editions based on experimental drawings I make with my hair. Chandeliers in all three rooms invite the feeling of true opulence! I will be away for 2024 as I need to be in LA to reconnect with friends and build my artist community there. I left some of my things stored in the flat, but I don’t have much stuff and have cleared out the cabinets and drawers for you to settle in and enjoy the space. The walk-in closet has just a few garment bags on the side but is otherwise empty. Consider this your home while you are here!

Comments: Quiet but lively block in the French/Italian heart of Soho
Would love if you could bring in the mail once per week.
There are a few snake plants around - they are quite resilient, but half a cup of water once a week would keep them extra happy.
