Gorgeous, recently renovated home with reclaimed bargeboard (shiplap) wooden walls and hardwood floors for a warm, local feel. The house is beautiful and comfortable; a wonderful oasis in a historic neighborhood. The location is unbeatable in the New Marigny, near Frenchman Street, walking distance to the French Quarter and easy driving distance to local universities. I am renting the place out for spring semester, which is the best time to be in New Orleans - the weather is mild, the festivals are happening, and my house is walking distance to (but not close enough to be disturbed by) parades, restaurants, jazz music venues, and the best the city has to offer. Home has 1 bedroom with queen bed, walk-in closet, and 55" Roku TV; full bath with marble shower; great home office for academic with cypress desk, two reading chairs, & bookcases; living room with sofas and chairs; open plan, fully stocked kitchen with all the appliances; washer/dryer; lovely private garden patio with tropical plants. I'm going to be on sabbatical in Germany for the spring semester, so I cannot bring my two sweet cats with me there! The ideal tenant likes cats and will take care of them for me while I'm gone - I will supply food, litter, etc. I also have indoor and outdoor plants that need to be watered.
