Beautiful one-bedroom/one-bathroom backyard cottage available for sublet. Dates: June 15th - August 1st (Flexible -move-in date can be as early as the 10th and move-out date can be as late as the 5th). Laundry is free. Washer and Dryer in unit. Dishwasher in the unit as well! Wifi + Utilities are about $100 - 200 a month. Amazing backyard garden space (I often work and take meetings in the garden). Beautiful, peaceful neighborhood! I've lived here for two years and every day still feels like a retreat. The backyard space is shared with a wonderful couple who lives in the front house, they are also the owners of the property. They are very kind and stick to themselves, although we sometimes say hello and chat briefly in the garden. Due to the cottage's proximity to the front house, tenants who are conscious of their noise are preferred. However, the cottage has great sound insulation when the windows are closed. This space is a perfect fit for graduate students, professors, and professionals. The backyard space is very quiet and is wonderful for reading, writing, and relaxing. The cottage gets wonderful sunlight (I have many thriving plants) and the open-concept kitchen is really a gem. The bedroom is spacious and has a standing desk and ergonomic chair. The bathroom is also very nice and has a bidet, shower (no tub). The laundry room is separate and also leads to a small "backyard" area behind the cottage. The location is incredibly central and is right on the Oakland/Emeryville border. Five-minute drive to Trader Joe's, Target, and shopping mall (Apple Store, H &M, Uniqlo, etc). Five-minute drive to some awesome restaurants like Lois the Pie Queen and Doyle Street Cafe. 15-minute walk to Bart and a 15-minute walk to grocery stores like Berkeley Bowl and Wholefoods. 5-minute walk to the F bus which goes straight to San Francisco (Salesforce Transit Center). There is also a small garden plot available for renters with a green thumb! Bonus: a renter who can keep my plants alive!
