Comments: Church Hill is a trendy neighborhood in the east of the City of Richmond well known for its bakeries and small restaurants, bars, and cafes. There are 6-8 places within a two-ten min walk. Supermarket is also a ten minute walk. The neighbourhood is quiet with tree-lined streets. Lots of housing dates from late 19th century walks to places of historical interest (esp the US. Civil War) and views of the James River. Also walkable from house is Shockoe Bottom with more bars, restaurants etc. Downtown/city is 8-12 mins by car. Richmond is state capital so well served by restaurants, theatre, movies, concert venues and symphony/opera, historic trails, parks, and river activities on the James River.
