Rent the Lot Poole (housewright) House (1823) on the occasion of its 200th anniversary! We are an academic family spending our summer out of town, looking for responsible renters for our house for about 2 months. It's a quaint and unique house, from 1824, one of a couple gambrel roof free standing houses in Boston, with a modern kitchen, a recently renovated master suite on the top floor with modern bathroom, two bedrooms on the second floor (or a bedroom and a playroom), a jack and jill bathroom with child sized bath tub on second floor, and a kitchen, dining room and library on the ground floor. We have a utilitarian office in the basement that is comfortable for work/writing. The patio is a quiet oasis, with lots of plants, with a beautiful red maple overstretching a table and chairs and a gas grill. It's a very safe and quiet neighborhood, lots of families and young professionals, lots of parks around, walking distance to MGH (20 minutes or so), and to North Station (15 minutes), on street parking is always available, drugstore, hardware store, USPS, and Whole Foods 5 minute walk away.
