Comfortable apartment for an academic couple or small family

My husband and I are both affiliated with the University of Chicago and are living abroad. We have a comfortable, but not fancy, apartment in Hyde Park. Our apartment is currently arranged as a two bedroom + library/study. Before we moved overseas I de-cluttered our apartment and set up as a comfortable Airbnb style rental. We still have some personal items in the apartment, but it is set up as a comfortable space for an academic visitor or small family. The larger bedroom has a very comfortable queen size Leesa brand mattress, good lighting and a welcoming atmosphere. The second bedroom has a full size bed. Both mattresses were bought in the last few years and are very comfortable. We currently have a twin size daybed in the library that can be removed if you wish. We also have a full-size airbed for guests. The kitchen is fully equipped for people who cook and you'll find all the necessary things for a family to live a full life at home and cook a holiday meal. Amenities include washer/dryer, dishwasher, electric sit/stand desk, printer/scanner, video projector/ screen and a wonderful library! The washer and dryer were replaced in 2022 and new refrigerator in 2023. All utilities and fast Internet included. The apartment is cleaned by our longtime house cleaner every month. The apartment is located near Kenwood Park which is about a 25 minute walk from the quad. It's a great morning commute on foot, but campus is also accessible via neighborhood bus or UGo Shuttle. We've rented to several academic families over the past few years and are open to renting for 12 months or the academic year. A shorter term lease is possible or a less traditional arrangement for someone who needs a part-time home base in Hyde Park. Our last family rented for two years during their son's junior and senior years at Lab School. The dates and monthly rate are flexible.
