My name is Norah, I'm an anthropologist, writer and radio documentarian. I speak English, Italian, Spanish and Romanian, and I'm learning Arabic. I often travel to San Francisco where I conduct research on the city's LGBTQI history. So I'm regularly looking for accommodation in the Bay Area: contact me if you plan to visit Paris, I'm flexible! The place is shared with my roommate Agathe, who works as a film decorator. It's quiet and ideally located in Ménilmontant. The apartment is 70m2. The two bedrooms are at either end of a long corridor, so you'll have your privacy. In the room where you'll be staying (mine), you'll enjoy a comfortable 2-seater bed, well-stocked bookshelves - lots of books in English - a desk if you need to work, and a nice sofa for reading or watching a movie. Blackout curtains guarantee a good night's sleep. The balcony runs the length of the apartment, so you can read, work or have lunch outside. The apartment is lgbt-friendly: we welcome visitors who are open to this atmosphere, as well as all queer people looking for a cosy place to stay in Paris.

Université Panthéon-Sorbonne
Ménilmontant
Paris
Comments: Ménilmontant! The most charming district in Paris: young, popular, lively and very safe. Numerous bars, restaurants, bakeries and supermarkets, ideal for discovering Paris on foot: Père Lachaise, Belleville, République 5, 10, 20 minutes away.
Comments: There's already a cat in the apartment; you really won't need a car in Paris; you can smoke on the balcony if you're really hooked. Not ideal for a baby, but negotiable for an older kid!
My cat Mina lives here. She's very calm and quiet, warm-hearted, and loves human company. She'll spend most of her time sleeping, she'll watch you work, and will meow if she's hungry. Just feed her once a day and clean her litter box now and then.
All the plants are in the kitchen. All you need to do is water them once a week, a little more in summer. I'll leave some recommendations to make things easier for you.
Comments: It's a shared flat: most of the time, my roommate Agathe will be there, taking care of the plants and the cat. Your participation should therefore remain minimal, except in special circumstances.

Comments: This is my main accommodation, and I work freelance, flexible on rental or exchange dates: mostly interested in San Francisco / Bay Area where I often work, but open to other proposals.
