Seeking Post Docs/Visiting Faculty/Graduate Students to share Large, Luxurious Contemporary in Historic Lexington ("Birthplace of American Liberty"). Lexington has some of the best public schools in the nation and is a favorite community for surrounding university faculty to raise their own families. One mile to Lexington Center, 1 block to MBTA bus routes to Alewife and/or Harvard Square/MIT, steps from the Minuteman Bikeway. I have three furnished bedrooms on the 2nd floor, one with a private ½ bath, two with access to a roof deck. All 2nd floor tenants share the full bath/laundry room in the upstairs main hall. I also have a sunny, private, furnished suite on the main floor, east wing of the house. Private suite has two rooms, one huge (21'x12.5'), one smaller (12'x10'), plus a private full bath. Share main house kitchen and other amenities including a 3-season porch with a hot tub (used year-round), a large library, both a casual family room and a formal LR/DR with piano, a full basement which includes a 2nd family room & office area (perfect for those who wish to work occasionally from home outside of their bedroom) and an exercise/workout/play space. Extensive grounds include multiple decks, a beautiful patio, and both organic vegetable and flower gardens. Must see to appreciate! Rent includes all utilities (heat/AC, electricity, water/sewer, cable, WiFi internet, and access to 2nd floor laundry facilities). Off-street parking on driveway parking pad. Many tenants without cars use bicycles year-round. I'm very energy conscious and try to live "green" whenever possible, so would appreciate like-minded tenants. No smoking and no pets. I work to build a family-like environment among my tenants, primarily academics from a variety of different countries, working or studying in this area for 2 months to 2 years. Be as involved or as separate as fits your comfort level and workload, but know you will be well provided for during your stay in my home. All you need to bring are your clothes!
