Our London home is wonderfully located and tastefully furnished for convenience and gracious living, We enter through a garden gate and proceed along a short path to the front door. The rooms were recently renovated with some new furnishings such as Persian carpets and very fine bed- often praised.. There are new wood floors throughout, new ceramic tiles in kitchen and bathroom set off by antique prints and watercolors on the walls. All furnishings, objects and equipment are in new or very good condition. I leave everything a person or couple may need for comfortable living arranged in the cupboards of the house:: dinnerware, cooking implements with accessories, linens, towels and patio cushions. All cabinets, cupboards and closet will be left empty. On entry, nothing will appear cluttered. My own personal affects will have been packed away. French doors open onto a peaceful, secluded back garden that is fully enclosed by tall fencing, vines, shrubs and neighboring trees. Heating, electrical and plumbing systems are new or will have been recently inspected to meet standard requirements. Ours is an almost perfectly convenient location except for people who find walking even short distances very hard. That is because -- We walk at least half a mile to transport stations for all parts of London, UK, Eurostar, airport connections and to shops, restaurants and the many pleasures on offer in and around the Regent's Canal Esplanade at Kings Cross known as Coal Drops Yard, and canal towpath East to Islington, Mile End & Olympic Park; Or West to Camden Town, Regents' Park., Primrose Hill and Little Venice. Many art and Research institutions are located nearby such as The British Library, University College London, SOAS, LSE. Covent Garden. is walkable for people who like to walk. Easy access to the Canal Towpath. Our property is set in a pretty crescent at the edge of a well-designed and nicely maintained complex of private homes. We have quiet respectful neighbors, including many academics. Our location is within walking distance to British Library,Google Campus King's Cross, Crick Center, King's Cross/St Pancras Stations, Camden Town Tube and Camden Road Overground, Thames Link System, Regent's Canal Towpath. Local roads are lined with safe bicycle routes. The patio is furnished with wrought iron table and chairs. The shed has room for suitcases. There are usually blossoms in any season. Last summer's drought and autumn's deep frost have proved not entirely devastating and I have replaced plants that were lost.. Our immediate surroundings are practically free of traffic. Walks are among the most interesting and beautiful in London. We have easy access to the Regent's Canal Towpath leading East to the popular new developments in the Kings' Cross and Coal Drop Yards and beyond or West to Camden Lock, Regent's Park, Primrose Hill Park. Modern eat-in kitchen has dishwasher, clothes washer, microwave, various small appliances and a polished table with chairs for meals. The bedroom has an excellent queen bed-- (guests have praised our good bed) --, small desk and chests with drawers. The study has a substantial desk and small bed. Writers and scholars have appreciated living here for its peaceful atmosphere, evergreen garden and attractive vistas.
