Charming home in San Gabriel foothills near Altadena, Pasadena, downtown LA

I am a Fulbright Scholar and graduate of USC, City University (London), and Guildhall School of Music and Drama (London). My whole house is available when I leave to go on concert tours or to visit family in the UK. It is situated on a quiet street with a lovely view of the San Gabriel mountains which are fun to hike and bike. It is ideally located for JPL, CalPoly, CalTech, Huntington Library, Norton Simon Museum, Pacific Asia Museum, USC and more. The house is suitable for a single traveler, couple or family (I have a 6 yr old and 3 yr old so it's safe and well-equipped for kids if needed and they will never be bored with KidSpace, walks with waterfalls and playgrounds in the area). Currently there are bunk beds in the second bedroom (not pictured). I can also remove the toys if adults are renting! Amenities are close including supermarkets, coffee shops, wine bars, artisan pizza, library, parks and swimming pools - many within walkable distance. Old Town Pasadena has even more to offer just a couple of miles away including theatres and movie theatres. The Rose Bowl is also close and Huntington Gardens & Descanso Gardens must not be missed. I have lived in the area for 20 years so will be happy to offer suggestions to anyone visiting for the first time. My car (Kia Soul) may be available also with a child's car seat and/or booster. Please let me know if you are traveling with children as I can leave out toys and art supplies. There is a swing set in the backyard with a slide, and a covered porch that makes a fun play area if the weather is poor. Most of the time though the Californian sunshine allows for outdoor relaxation in the front/back gardens where fruit and herbs may be picked. Patio furniture is provided. Neighbours are fantastic and available to help with the house if I am overseas. I have hosted on both Airbnb and this site successfully for several years and I enjoy making my place available to guests from around the world.
