The apartment is near Lincoln Park, Safeway, Trader Joe's, two Metro stations, and historic Eastern Market. Wonderful restaurants on 7th and 8th Streets are only a few minutes away on foot. Also nearby are a Whole Foods, Giant and more great restaurants on H Street NE. The U.S. Capitol complex, Supreme Court, Library of Congress, Folger Shakespeare Library, and much more are a 10-15 min walk. Our English basement 1-bedroom apartment has has a full kitchen with large fridge, electric cooktop, microwave, dishwasher, toaster oven, and garbage disposal. The unit has its own high-efficiency washer and dryer. There are private front and rear doors, a private front sitting area, and a shared rear patio. A quiet and energy-efficient ductless system heats and cools the apartment. All the lights have been fitted with LED bulbs. The apartment is fully and comfortably furnished, including towels, linens, dishes, glasses, cookware, coffee maker, and blender. The dining/living area has a full-size sleeper sofa and a dining table for four. WiFi, a smart TV, and DVD player are provided. The bedroom has a queen bed, bureau, bedside tables with lamps, chair, and closet. In addition to the rear patio, guests are invited to use the first floor balcony, which has seating. Two city pocket parks are within a few steps — wonderful green spaces to enjoy, especially during the spring and early summer. Lincoln Park, a unit of the US Park Service, is a block away. This is a non-smoking apartment: smoking of any kind is not allowed in the apartment or on the premises. Scented candles, air fresheners, incense, or other strong odors are not permitted. Parking is on-street and you may need to purchase a residential parking sticker for longer stays. Between Metro, bus service, car sharing, Lyft, and rental bikes and scooters, you may not need your car. The owners, a tabby cat named Bella, Cleopatra a puggle, and Sassafrass a pug, live upstairs.
