Maisonette in Berlin City Center (Kastanienallee), Suitable for 2-3 persons

The apartment is right at the crossing between Kastanienallee and Zionkirchstrasse. It is a “maisonette” on two floors, and each floor is just a medium-size room. In the lower level (fourth floor in the building) there is a living room with a kitchen, and in the upper level (under the roof) there is the bedroom with a large working desk at the window. There is a bathroom in each floor, and a terrace (with a table for having lunch or dinner during the warmer months) on the upper floor. The apartment is fully equipped, for we are currently living in it, with fast internet connection and everything else one needs (with the exception of a dish-washer: we opted for the washing machine, and the kitchen is too small to have both). The apartment faces the internal courtyard, and is very quiet. The apartment in beautiful, very well kept (a bit “posh”), and in a very special location in Berlin. Kastanienallee itself is the main and most beautiful street of Prenzlauerberg, there are plenty of excellent restaurants and cafés in the area, as well as supermarkets and kitas for kids. The area is wonderfully connected with the tramway (lines M1 and 12, just in front of the building), and the metro lines U2 and U8 at close walking distance. There are several parks close to the apartment (including the Mauerpark), and Hackescher Markt, Alexanderplatz and the Scheunenviertel are at walking distance. I lived there for more than ten years now, together with my husband, and we loved it.
