Our small 2-bedroom home in the Hillman City neighborhood of South Seattle is a recently renovated Craftstman a half-block from bus lines on Rainier Avenue. The house is about 750 sq. ft. and was fully remodeled interior as of 2020. Perfect for a couple, or a family with a young child. It is fully furnished, with one full-size bedroom and one smaller bedroom that could alternatively serve as an office. The galley kitchen has all new stainless steel appliances, including a gas range and efficient storage. The living room is centered around a beautiful river-stone fireplace and has built-in bookshelves, a wall closet, and a well-lit built-in desk. There is a new washer and dryer in the home, and on-demand tankless water-heater, and a spacious bathroom with a clawfoot tub and shower. The back yard is a great place for evening sitting and there is a charcoal grill available and a solo stove for evenings around a backyard fire. The tenant should be willing to mow the front and back lawn regularly (an electric mower is available) and water the plants during the dryer months. Onda Origins coffee shop and roastery is a stone's throw away (with dynamite pastries!), along with a number of cozy Hillman City restaurants (Ethiopian, American, Filipino, and Caribbean), bars, and a brewery. The house is a 10-minute walk from the Seward Park neighborhood, including Third Place Books, Chucks Hop Shop (a destination for beer-lovers), Café Vita, and other restaurants. It’s a 15-minute walk to all that Columbia City has to offer as well, including an excellent PCC food co-op. Twenty minutes away by foot is Seward Park on a peninsula in Lake Washington, one of the finest parks in the city and the only remaining old growth forest area in Seattle.

Comments: We would prefer as long a stay as possible, but could be flexible depending on the right timing & situation. Ideally, a tenant would live there for the 2024-25 academic year (plus summer of '25 if at all possible).
