This 118 year old home has been ours since 1986. We raised our family in this home and we cherish the furnishings and style of every room. Our home is perfect for your family, or for 2 to 4 adults. There are a total of 4 bedrooms: There are 2 bedrooms (primary bedroom with a queen bed and smaller bedroom with a double bed) on the 2nd floor, and a sweet bedroom (double bed) on the third floor. There is a a fully furnished apartment (queen bed) in the basement. A wood burning stove in the living room offers warmth and cheer. There's a tuned piano, a comfortable and inviting kitchen, and a small artist studio or writing space on the third floor. Sitting comfortably on a classic Minneapolis lot, the house has a side yard with a fire pit and charcoal grill. There is a driveway facing the back alley. The garage is not available. Minneapolis will warm your heart. The Kingfield neighborhood is filled with enticing restaurants, hip coffee shops, world class bakeries, and friendliness. We are 3.8 miles from downtown and close to two major bus lines. You can walk to two of our city lakes (Harriet and Bde Maka Ska). Fall is beautiful in Minneapolis. We are located on Harriet Avenue, just two blocks off of Lyndale Avenue. We will negotiate with you how to keep the sidewalks and driveway shoveled if it snows during your stay. We want you to be happy renting our home, and we will be communicative hosts, providing resources and tips for your stay. When you depart, we ask that you leave our home clean and orderly, with the furniture in the same configuration. The house will be fully ready for you. We will check your references and provide a legal agreement. This is a great short term rental opportunity if you are looking to relocate to Minneapolis and you need a place to start, or if you are on sabbatical, or if you are associated with an arts organization in town and need 3 months of home-away-from-home; if you need to write your novel or finish your dissertation or complete your illustrations, etc.
