My restored 1924 bungalow is in one of Palo Alto's most desirable neighborhoods - 2 blocks from University Ave., 5 blocks from downtown, 1 mile from Stanford's gates and a mile from a public pool, public tennis courts, a large park, adult library and charming new children's library and small museum/zoo. The neighborhood - Crescent Park/Community Center - is filled with university and tech families. The home is 2 BR, 2 bath, furnished with sturdy antiques. The kitchen and master bedroom look out on the sunny garden and backyard with patio table & chairs. Master bedroom (double-sized bed) has wall of windows with backyard view has 2 closets; of these, 1 is walk-in.. There is an office alcove and a 'TV room' that could accomodate a second desk . The kitchen is renovated and modern.with stainless-steel appliances, gas cooktop, stone counters. Hardwood floors throughout, Washer/dryer. Private driveway for car. I love the home and seek someone who loves it as much as I do. I'm a journalist who is working remotely from a cottage in Marin County (80 miles away) and will be available for introductions/departures or questions/problems. Because I'll have some things stored in the garage, I may need to stop by very occassionally.

Comments: Stanford University & Medical Center is 1-1/2 miles away - walking/biking/driving distance. Easy access to tech companies. UC-SF is 33 miles. UC Berkeley is 40 miles (but terrible traffic.) SJSU and Santa Clara University are 18-20 miles
Comments: Deposit of 1 month's rent. Furnished. Master BR has a double bed & 2 closets (1 is walk-in.) The 2nd bedroom has a twin bed, so is appropriate for a single person or child..
Comments: Child is welcome (1 twin bed) although better for older kids than toddlers.

Comments: I have a 2nd home on the outskirts of the SF Bay Area and am working remotely. So there is some flexibility.
