Fully furnished. Two bedrooms, two baths, kitchen, living, dining/workspace, small back yard and views from the entire north side toward Golden Gate Bridge. Just updated with new interior colors reflecting the earth tones of the nearby park and beach. New Bosch dishwasher and Liebherr refrigerator. A quiet, safe, and beautiful place to live and work. Great neighbors! See "links" below for photos of all rooms and garden. This is a home, yours while we tend our farms east of the Mississippi. You'll find spices and basics for baking, and a few foods to tide you over as you settle in. A half-block from Fulton 5 line and Golden Gate Park (Marx Meadow), also short walk to Balboa Line and Geary 38. Easy commute downtown, Hastings College of Law, San Francisco State, the University of San Francisco, and the University of California - San Francisco. Setting: Stroll to the park's thousand acres of gardens, trails, and cultural attractions, including its spectacular new museums, the de Young and the California Academy of Sciences. Take a leisurely walk through the park to The Beach Chalet for Sunday eats on the lawn. Transverse the park to grab coffee in The Haight or drive down to Java Beach, grab some picnic food at Safeway by the Sea, and explore The Great Highway. . Our solar-electric house has hardwood floors, French doors, a renovated kitchen, two bedrooms with standard-sized beds, and two updated baths. The master bath has a soaking tub and heated floor. Second bath, renovated in 2021, has a shower, new vanity and mirrors, and a wall/towel heater. Entry, living and dining room have restored gum wood paneling. It's furnished throughout with an eclectic mix of art, furniture and books collected over the years, but not so stuffy that you won't be comfortable. Built in 1917, our home is completely furnished including linens and bedding, plenty of nice towels, old beach towels, plus clean and cozy throws for chilly nights. AMENITIES: all utilities & wireless, washer and dryer. Cleaning service (trusted, long-term) is included every third week. Final Cleaning is also included. Ira says: Thirty-seven steps above the street, find a haven of quiet, privacy, and greenery under the ever-changing sky of coastal California. Enjoy wine and twilight on the glass-enclosed portico. Savor views of Mt.Tamalpais and the Marin Headlands, from the gleaming onion domes of the Russian cathedral to the towers of Golden Gate Bridge. Fall asleep to a chorus of bellowing foghorns. The terraced back garden is planted with flowers, sculptural succulents, herbs, greens, and berry bushes. A grove of acacias rises at its summit. Below, a sheltered patio makes a great spot for afternoon relaxation among the hummingbirds and butterflies. The house is convenient to public transportation and the city's network of bicycle routes. It's a short walk to the bustling "village" along Geary and Clement Boulevards. This neighborhood is not a boutique enclave, but a living, working community with small markets and produce stores. A small discount market/wine shop is about eight blocks away, and "Safeway by the Sea" is just a short drive down Fulton. Liz says: This is our home for half the year, so you'll find spices and staples in the pantry. Parking is on the street (we need the garage for our car) but finding a space at or near the house is easy in this residential area. Biggest plusses? It's a rarity to find two bathrooms in a small home. like this. Although it can be foggy this close to the ocean, we've done a lot to make sure the place is cozy.. We think you will be transfixed by the view. and by the location. It's a safe street and all our neighbors are also our friends: the singles, the elders, and the extended families. We can be somewhat flexible on the dates, so shoot us a message if you would like to know more. We prefer to rent for an extended period of time, such as the late summer and fall semester.
