This apartment has two bedrooms, one study, laundry, kitchen, lounge room and large balcony. It has a small front garden and large fenced-in back garden. It is fully furnished. It would be ideal for 2 people but could accommodate a family with up to 2 young children (or one older child). It is in a block of 2 apartments; it is the upstairs apartment (with one short flight of stairs). Located in a quiet, secure suburb it is 6 houses back from the ocean. Because it is close to the ocean it never gets too hot and always has a sea breeze. It has stunning extensive ocean views and is 5 minutes from Bondi Beach. There are many colourful lorikeets and cockatoos in the area which like to be fed. It is on a major bus route and it takes 30 minutes to reach the central business district and the famous Sydney Opera House by bus. We have a new Hyundai Getz which would be available. It is 20 minutes drive by car to University of New South Wales, 30 minutes to University of Sydney, 45 minutes to Macquarie University or University of Western Sydney and 1.5 hours to University of Wollongong. You can also travel to all these places by bus and/or train. There is a large Jewish population in this suburb, lots of synagogues and good eastern European food. There are shops (Supermarket, PO, restaurants, cafes, etc) within walking distance and also a major shopping centre (Bondi Junction) which is 10 minutes by car. This area of Sydney is very easy to live in. It is very safe. Shops are open until late (including local supermarket - open until 11pm), public transport is regular, frequent, totally safe at all hours and runs all night. We are flexible on dates. The apartment is available for any period of time between December 2010 until July 2011. We are also flexible regarding the length of time. We would prefer an exchange of approximately four months but are very flexible and can accommodate a longer or shorter visit. We (my partner and I) seek accommodation in London. Ideally we would like an exchange but are prepared to accept rent in lieu of accommodation (rent would be negotiable). |
