We are a Harvard-faculty couple on extended sabbatical ourselves – therefore we will not be in Boston very often. However, the reason we are offering our beloved, spacious home at significantly below market price is that our 3rd floor apartment, which we expect to use when we need to be in Boston, can only be accessed by the common front door (or back kitchen door). Aside from the entrance our apartment is completely self-sufficient, though we will also access the basement laundry. On the first floor is an open-design living-room and dining-room, a large modern kitchen with granite counters, custom cherry cabinets, counter-depth stainless-steel refrigerator and other modern appliances such as dishwasher, vent, etc. The first floor also has 2 additional rooms – the indoor porch and “music” room. There is also a powder room (1/2 bath) and closet/cloakroom area on the 1st floor. The second floor includes a master bedroom suite with large walk-in closet and spacious ensuite bathroom. There is a large second bedroom and a second full bathroom. While we are somewhat flexible for starting time and duration, we prefer tenants who may stay for at least 9-12 months; who would appreciate and take good care of our home and its contents; and who would feel comfortable sharing a front entrance with us, and vice versa. (We expect to be in Boston in the next 12 months about 2 months maximum in one or more visits.) Any interest in gardening also a plus.
