The open plan kitchen, dining and living room is perfect for entertaining. There is a large balcony overlooking a quiet street and a neighbouring community garden. The children's room has a bunk bed with two single size mattresses (i.e. can comfortable fit an adult), and the master bedroom has a queen size bed. The bathroom is wheelchair-accessible and has a hand-held showerhead as well as a ceiling rain showerhead. The kitchen has an induction stovetop, oven, dishwasher, toaster and rice cooker, but no microwave. There is no separate office space, but there is a small pull-out desk in a closet nook. There is also a public library 20 metres away :-) The apartment is on the first floor, facing west. It stays nice and cool in the heat of the Australian summer and has no need for air conditioning. Every room has a ceiling fan. The building has been built on principles of sustainability and energy efficiency, and has won several architecture awards. There are 20 apartments, and the neighbours are all environmentally conscious, community-minded, creatives and professionals. There is a free communal laundry (with 5 washers and 5 dryers) and a large rooftop terrace with a free electric barbeque. There is even a cubby house created by all the children of the building! There is no car parking on site, but plenty of bike racks. For the times you do need a car, there are several car-share services available in the neighbourhood, and all residents of this building have free membership to GoGet. You are welcome to use our two child seats, which are adjustable from a rear-facing baby capsule, to a front-facing toddler/child seat, to a booster seat suitable for a child approximately 7 years old or older. The location is in the heart of vibrant Brunswick, next to the library, public pool (and gym), and the iconic Howler live music venue (but don't worry - you won't hear any noise!). It is between two train stations, and close to trams, buses, and bike lanes.
